Kasha Bornstein, MSPharm
Kasha Bornstein is a former paramedic with the City of New Orleans Emergency Medical Services and currently a medical student in the dual Medical Doctor/Master of Public Health program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Kasha pursued undergraduate studies in critical theory and public health at Hampshire College, in Amherst, MA, obtaining licensure as a paramedic shortly thereafter. Working the streets of New Orleans by night, Kasha completed a Masters of Pharmacology at Tulane University School of Medicine, participated in harm reduction oriented public health strategies to decrease opioid overdose and infectious disease mortality in Louisiana, and taught paramedicine. Kasha’s interests include health resource accessibility, medical education and creative approaches to public health emergencies.
Vidya Eswaran, MD
Dr. Eswaran is currently an Emergency Medicine Resident at Northwestern University. She completed her medical doctor degree from at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and her undergraduate education in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her interests include health disparities, healthcare and disaster policy, and emergency medicine.
